The Lighthouse

Can a lighthouse stand inland? At least this one does, it must be showing the way to people who are lost in the lava fields. We went up to it to inspect it and to check if it had some information on it, but there was nothing. I think it was erected as part of a big outdoor art project some years ago, but it's very well built and is still standing strong.

The weather was rather nice, around 10°C and not much wind.

We intended to go for the tasty lamb chops in Hvolsvöllur, but ended up eating even better ones at a small place in Reykjavík. At least we made a short field trip to Selfoss after lunch and it was a very nice little trip, too.
