Fabulous day out in Edinburgh

We tried again!!! This was last years day trip to Edinburgh. This year it was just Kate and I. We had a great rail journey up there, we left the rain behind in Lancashire and arrived in Edinburgh to glorious sunshine. We walked 5 miles in all, down to Holyrood palace then up to the government buildings via the cemetery, down Princes St. to the dome for afternoon tea plus cava. Another lovely walk through back streets to the gardens by the station where we watched school boys joining some Chinese boys for a game of football. Back on the train home. I was so tired  last night I couldn't look at any of my 400 photos. These are just a small selection of a fabulous day. Thanks Kate.
