The next NEW thing

Went to see the 25th Anniversary presentation of Hawaii's Woodshow 2017.    Their website is here.
This prototype model on display is the joint effort of the University of Hawaii Manoa School of Architecture and College of Engineering.   It is called "The Albizia Project"  (website)   converting invasive trees into sustainable housing.  A full sized prototype is being constructed on the front yard of Linekona School where the woodshow is on display, so far the central arch is up. 
Wouldn't you love to live in something like this (in a tropical climate, of course).
