Mother Pukeko is teaching Junior a few dance steps.

This half grown youngster is the first pukeko chick I have been able to photograph this season. Junior is still half feathered and half fluffy and hasn't as yet developed the red face plate like Mums. I have put a pic in the extras showing the bit of the chick that certainly appears full grown - just look at the size of that foot!
