Wallingford

A rather lovely girl's day out adventure for R and I today (or 'vaventure' as R calls it). We went to beautiful Wallingford to meet a friend who I reconnected with over the summer after several years.

We had another lovely catch up over tea and lunch and R was so so good. She played for ages happily with her playmobil car and people set that she'd brought with her and charmed the ladies in the cafe!

Afterwards R and I had a walk around town and visited the river. She was quite excitable at seeing lots of ducks swimming!

What a lovely visit, amazing to think it's 18 years since I lived there. How can it be 18 years since I did anything?!! I feel like I go back in time when I visit there. It also reminds me of how lucky I am to be mum to my two and the journey I've been on since then. I love my adventures with R (like I used to have on Fridays with C too) she's brilliant company.
