We went across to Fife by train to meet up with step m-i-l in Cupar and have lunch with her (slightly overdue 80th birthday celebration). I love the views from the train on the coastal route - we even saw a seal lounging about near Burntisland - but it was quite tricky to get a photo, what with many intervening trees and lots of reflections in the train window. So here you have Arthur's Seat and Salisbury Crags from over the water. Gosh, you can even make out Calton Hill to the right of them, I just realised.

It was a really delightful surprise to bump into the lovely Sandra in the pub where we were having lunch; can't really say the same about bumping into Colm in Waverley Station, but on the whole it was a good day.
