Huis Doorn

On our way to Pekela we stopped at Huis Doorn and visited this house where Kaiser Wilhelm spent his last years having had to give up the German throne. He was very restricted in his movements but still lived a life of luxury always hoping to return to Germany as king. He died in the house and is buried in a mausoleum in the grounds.
