Flamingos

This wonderful family of flamingos settled in the lagoon today.

(did you know a gathering of flamingos is a "flamboyance"?)

I crept closer and closer to take a photograph and was accompanied by a woman using her phone to take photos.

We whispered (in Italian) as we closed in on our quarry.......and then HER PHONE RANG!
