Dunottar Girls
Today finds us in Cheltenham, where we will be staying for a couple of nights. On the way from Ston Easton, we stopped at a fascinating National Trust property, Snowshill Manor, where we explored the massive collection of one of Britain's great eccentrics, Charles Wade. He filled some 20 + rooms of his manor house with thousands of objects he found aesthetically pleasing, and he carefully arranged them all in groups he felt showed them to their best advantage.
Tonight, we met up with an old friend from Dunottar School days (the school I attended years ago in Reigate, Surrey). Cathy brought along her old school uniform beret and some other mementos, and we had a fine old time laughing over memories. The neon sign is hanging in the bar of the hotel we are staying at, and it made me chuckle, as it's just the sort of thing our old headmistress would say!!!
