A trip to Northumberland

We are heading for North Yorkshire to a vets reunion but have stopped off in Northumberland to spend a day with friends in their holiday cottage by the sea.

The afternoon was spent visiting some lovely little towns and villages- what a lot of castles they have here !

The blip is Warkworth Castle and the extra , a more ruined building, is Dunstanburgh Castle overlooking the sea close to the cottage. What a lovely situation for the golf course of the same name .
