Nerine

After a very wet start, it turned into a perfect autumn day. Having completed a couple of pieces of work this morning, I was able to take some time off to go into town with Ben. We browsed the sales (why are there sales at the end of September?) and then had a leisurely cup of tea in the sunshine - a nice way to wind down after a busy and sometimes stressful week.

Today's photograph is a rain spangled Nerine, a  gift from one of our neighbours. This is the first time we've managed to get one to bloom in our garden, so I thought i'd record it for posterity, just in case it doesn't re-appear next year.
