Autumn avenue of trees

The avenue of trees on the Meadows looked splendid in the sunshine this morning.

Even better still, we submitted two more journal paper manuscripts this afternoon (see the evidence of one elsewhere on Blipfoto), and another should be uploaded this evening.  This means that we now have:

1. Manuscripts already submitted: 4
2. Manuscripts that will almost certainly be submitted tonight: 1
3. Other manuscripts that should make the end of the week deadline: 2

Perhaps I shouldn't mention that I started work at 3:00am this morning to finish editing manuscripts 3 and 4? Shh, don't tell Mr hazelh! Despite this, somehow I managed to get through the whole day without mishap, including four hours of teaching - and tonight I have to go out to a local residents' meeting - aaargh!

Exercise today: walk to work (16,336 steps)
