Wednesday Wood

At the Red Cross Blood Center:

They poked and they prodded,
then went in with a thud.
All in an effort,
to draw my blood.

It took all of 10 minutes,
the red pint to obtain.
And for once...Nurse Julie,
must have got a good vein.

On a new piece of lumber,
the blood stuff juxtaposed...
and if you look real close,
you can see eyes and a nose.

A l-o-n-g nose.
