Tuesday: Truckin'

We left Eureka this morning to head towards Mendocino. The drive was phenomenal - we came off the 101, south of Eureka, and drove along the old road, otherwise known as the Avenue of the Giants. The Redwoods were just phenomenal in size - to be honest, it's almost redundant to photograph them as you really can't do them justice.

We then drove through wonderful windy wooded roads and came out on the coast road which we followed all the way to Mendocino. Mendocino is very quaint - a little shutterboard community by the sea. Our hotel is 'olde-worlde' - our room has lots of Victorian photographs of people whose eyes seem to follow you round the room.

Discovered the locals' local, followed by a very pleasant dinner.
