Orange Hawkweed

I went for a quick trip to the local cemetery after work, before it started to pour with rain. Sadly nearly everything is over now, and I spent a while wandering around remembering just how beautiful it was just 3 months ago, brimming with an array of beautiful wild flowers and insects :-(
Still only 5 months until March and believe me I am counting!!!
In among the seed heads and general sense of autumn the Orange Hawk weed  Pilosella aurantiaca, was still flowering really well, and this particular flower head was spectacular, and looked so cheerful on a bleak autumn day. It is a common perennial, which is often found in churchyards and cemeteries, although round here it is often found on verges too.
It is also called Fox and Cubs, which I think is a delightful name.
