Oxford

Was up to Oxford today for a session on the Doctoral Training Partnership (I have a student as part of it). I don't go to Oxford often but when I do I think it's lovely but looking st the shops and buildings it's as unlike most British cities as, say, Paris or Beijing. It's often presented as a model of Britishness but it's a very peculiar type of Britishness - I'm glad it exists though
