Ivy

Naming her Ivy for obvious reasons she stood out amongst the greenery of the gazebo, just loving the nectar in the flowers here at home.

My canon 5D mk 1V is in hospital, my 100mm macro joined it and they are also cosied up with my 100-400mm lens - all needing a bit of TLC and having a few issues which have been ongoing since the spring. Hubs was going to to London anyway and kindly said he'd drop them off. Hopefully there was little dropping ..... This has resulted in today's image with  a camera and lens I rarely use together but worked well so not all is lost. I had to be in the garden with the amount of work which had piled up whilst we were away - plus domestic chores!

I was truly amazed at how quickly my photos loaded up on the computer and I blithely thought shutting my Mac down for a week had done it good and mended issues. Obviously a week away had befuddled my brain as when it came to the editing it transpired I hadn't been shooting RAW. Doh!! I remembered then lending Hubs my camera to shoot the cricket a few weeks ago and changed all the settings for him.

#1 daughter has finally got the key to her new flat and the floor is going down tomorrow - excellent! AND my challenge for today was to get to the bottom of the 'dirty washing bin' which had mysteriously exploded out of all proportion whilst we were away! The ironing is another matter. A mother's work is never done :))
