The end of an era/two trees
First of all, thank you so much for the great response on yesterday's dewy web, I don't think I've ever made it to the first page of Popular before unless for milestone Blips.
As for today's triptych, the first part is me with the eldest son and obviously the younger son present in the womb, a little over 30 years ago in the garden of the in-laws and there are two conifer trees planted to make a bit of a division between the neighbouring gardens. In these past 30 years they've certainly grown in the length, not so much in width.
As part of our sorting, clearing and cleaning plans for the house of course the garden also needs to be tackled as it has grown quite wild these past few years. The new neighbours seem to have problems with most of our trees, so we've asked some professional gardening advice and today these two trees had to bite the dust (the general idea being that they weren't so stable and in case of really bad storms could topple). Grown over 30 years, gone within two hours ! Sad to have to do, fortunately these are the only two that form some danger.
Remember that tomorrow's optional theme for Abstract Thursday is 'dots' , take that as literally or figuratively as you want, from pointillism to pixels for example :-) And it is optional, any abstract will do ! The tag will be AT118
Thanks again for your lovely comments, stars and hearts for the coneflowers with web
