Today we had a new visitor to the garden bird feeders and most welcome.  I love them but our poor little Sparrows were a bit in awe of these handsome newcomers - they have only just got used to the boisterous Starlings and the Crow family who visit each year.   I've noticed a shortage of Blackbirds and our resident Robin since the Starling and larger bird invasion too.
