Chippie & cup

My grandmother's old measuring cup has been in service for many years. First, waiting in the pantry drawer to be used to scoop flour for her bread and rolls, or often filled with blueberries for her blueberry tea cake and many other recipes. The entry of a dishwasher here at Dogcorner made glass the  chosen material of the modern measuring cup. The old cup was put in to service scooping seeds and peanuts for my beloved chipmunks and squirrels. It's been featured in numerous blips, enough that it looked really familiar to Dollydoug when she was visiting here last week. Today two chipmunks spent more time fighting than snatching peanuts, but this chap managed to get one for his own pantry without getting bitten.

For the Record,
This day came in cloudy with the sun breaking through. It's another warm humid day, one of the last in September I think. We'll see if October brings cooler days, I hope so.

All hands horrified by the Alabama Primary win. Moore is an "often-inflammatory candidate given to provocative remarks on same-sex marriage and race" to quote the New York Times. Scary and another huge step backwards in these terrible times.
