The Drummer

The Drumbeat Symbolizes the heartbeat of the universe. It also represents change and is the rhythmic reminder that "the time has come..."

The terms "march to the beat of a different drummer" and "march to the beat of our own Drum" are metaphors for taking responsibility for, and marching to the rhythm of, our own destiny.

Today was a difficult day. When I saw him it made me think. He was struggling with his heavy load and looked unhappy, and a little lost. He was so busy carrying the drum he couldn't beat it.

Sometimes you have to create your own drumbeat. So I did, and felt better for it.
