Windmill at Antigua
The sun has been shining all day, and warm too, over 30 degrees most of the day.
Day two with the hired car, and we set off after breakfast. We headed north, and took the back roads and off the tourist trail route. Beautiful scenery and homes all the way. We stopped off at Pájara for lunch, and then the mountain road through Parque Rural de Betancuria. The was various lookout stops and chipmunks all the way too. We stopped for a walk about in the beautiful village of Betancuria, and then made our way to Antigua. We got back earlier than expected, and had a dip and laze about the pool for a bit. Maybe have an odd pint later.
It was great seeing some real Spanish villages today, and getting to explore them. I loved this old windmill, still standing proud and looking great. I'm not sure if it's still used today or not. Taken at Antigua, Fuerteventura.
