Valais Blacknose Sheep

Hello everyone -  back again!

N and I decided to go to the Dorchester Show (176th) as the forecast was terrible for the next day.  Fortunately we were able to park fairly close to one of the entrances so there was not too much walking involved to reach the barrier.  It was very very crowded - too much so for comfort, but we were to see the cattle and talk to some of the agents on the different machinery stands and even meet up with T, K and I.

This breed of sheep are from the Upper Valais in Switzerland where they graze high up in  the mountain pastures,  they were waiting to enter the main ring for the Grand Parade of the lifestock.
