Innocent Victims

There are so many stones to innocent victims in Italy, more recently to victims in the IIWW and to the Mafia. This one is rather older and commemorates the spot where Fiesole's Saint Romulus was martyred with four companions, Carissimus, Dulcissimus, Marchis(i)anus, and Crescentius AD 90 by the reign of the Roman Emperor, Domitian.

AD90!

The plaque reads:

Above this stone by cruel hands a horrendous and sad deathly spectacle occurred. Here the innocent bloodied victims fell. Grand champions of Christ.
