Weekend Retreat

Stansted House is about a mile from the village.  We've not really explored the grounds which include a garden, woodland walks, a garden centre and tea room.  Today they had a countryside fair on so we spent the morning there, watching all things from ferrit racing, to Punch and Judy, from cookery demonstrations, to terrier racing!  We returned home for lunch and a rest - its been another very busy and rather stressful week so a quick afternoon rest was much appreciated.  Later I washed the cars and had a walk around the village, and we enjoyed roast beef for dinner whilst it rained outside! .
