Well hats off to Apple. As you may have read last week Pops’ iPhone is playing up. The sound has gone ‘ a bit funny ‘. She did mention that there may have been a little chocolate milk involved.

I had an appointment with the Genius Bar today to get it looked it.

I told the genius what had happened, chocolate milk and all and that Poppy was very sad about it. I also mentioned that she always kept it in the case.

The genius carefully examined the phone, removing the sim tray and sniffing it for signs of chocolate.

He then ran a load of diagnostics and pronounced it had passed all the hardware tests.

So the next step is to send it for repair, however the genius thought they would detect liquid damage and the screen did have an odd mark. In which case they would offer a replacement .... for £300.

I could not really argue and was just working out how to tell Pops that it wasn’t getting fixed yet when the genius said.

‘But I’m going to swap it for a new one cos let’s face it, it’s just over a year old, you’ve bought loads of stuff from us and, well it’s just the right thing to do.’

Bloody hell, result.

She’s over the moon ( I was quite pleased as well ).
