A good day's work...

Four down, one to go......

Scrape - tick

Sand - tick

Undercoat - tick

First top coat - tick

Tomorrow - the final coat :)

OK - so some of the preparation had been done over the past few days, but the bulk of the work has been done today.

You might be mistaken for thinking I was painting a large mansion the way I'm going on but no, I'm just doing the windowsills and a couple of bargeboards of my very small cottage!! It's just that I don't really enjoy painting, but maintenance is a necessity when I choose to own an old wooden house - and I accept that, albeit with a groan!!

Still, I also had time today to spend nattering on the phone, sorting out some web site issues and entertaining friends who dropped in, so all in all, a great day :)

Late tea, McLeod's Daughters then bed to read I think.......
