Carcassonne

This is Carcassonne as we sped by on the motorway to visit our friends who live in the foothills of the Pyrenees about four kilometres from the Spanish border.  My extra is the view from their balcony with the sun setting behind the mountains on our first evening with them.

We had two days with my sister before heading off to visit these friends for a couple of nights, and then on to other friends for lunch (as you do!) on the way back to my sister's on Friday evening.  They live a bit south of Carcassonne but we didn't have time to visit the city this time. 

Not much time for blipping until now but hope to catch up soon.  It was a 1000km round trip!
