On the way...

Summer that is. Clocks went forward an hour today.

The Eldest's sleepover went well. Her and her friend were really well behaved. Sleepover guest went home about 5pm tonight, not bad for a first timer.

The kids have decorated the length of the driveway with chalk drawings, it looks fantastic. The Youngest went and had a play at one of her friends' homes this afternoon. While she was gone, we went back to Strawberry Corner for some more berries and an ice cream as we had a BBQ to go to tonight.

On the way back, we stopped off at Maraetai, where everyone seemed to think that summer was already here. I had a paddle, but it was rather bracing...you'd not catch me fully in the water yet.

BBQ tea at our oldest friend's place tonight, along with another of the old gang from school, and his wife who had flown in from China this morning. She did very well to be coherent.

It's been a fabulous day, and that weather was the icing on the cake.
