Today's the day ........................ to hang on

Here's another plant that really should be thinking about hanging up its boots and retiring for the winter.

It really has no business looking so healthy, particularly when you think that it's growing vertically in a tiny crack in the rock, in very little soil and probably hanging on for dear life in any sort of windy weather.

Along with the maidenhair fern, they really do make it a proper rock garden ........................
