The second half of life..

Yes, I have voted

First job of the day (after relaxing over breakfast, reading the news and doing a couple of domestic chores) was to head to the polling booths and cast my vote in the 2017 General Election.

It's been an interesting lead up to the election - 'confessions of a solo mum turned MP turned party leader.........leading to a resignation from one party's leader, a ground-swell of interest from younger voters ("The Jacinda Effect") following the resignation of another, major party leader, as well as the usual baby-kissing, hand-shaking, door-knocking that went on up and down the country.

I had thought that the youthful look and freshness of the new Labour leader might have turned the tables on National, but it seems that this election isn't finished yet, long after the polling booths closed.........

Afternoon was a garden blitz!  Soooooooo good to be out in the garden in sun - made great inroads into the spring tidy-up.

W (star archer from yesterday) and her partner dropped by late afternoon and delivered their old king single guest bed that we've negotiated a price for.  Rather that watch the election unfolding this evening, I instead rearranged the spare room and set up the new bed.  A much more production use of time!  Room looks great!!  And a quick test of the new bed suggested it will be pretty comfortable too :)

Busy but very productive day :)
