Chicago, Illinois From Lake Michigan

I had a fun filled day. Started out at 7:30 a.m. for breakfast, then went down to the Shedd Aquarium, then to the Field museum, then took a cab up to the north part of Chicago and had coffee at Starbucks, then headed over the Weber Grill Restaurant for a late lunch - Had the best meal in ages there.

After lunch, off for a little shopping, then headed back downtown and took a 7 p.m. Lake/river cruise. This was by far the best part of the Chicago trip. The 90 minute tour started first and offered an architectural history of the buildings along the Chicago river. Then we headed out into Lake Michigan and headed south to Grant Park where the boat made a U-turn, stopped for a minute, and then headed back to where we started.
