A tough race for Grace at Pleasant Hill's Elijah Bristow State Park. There were many Oregon high schools there running, from all levels of big schools and small. Grace felt awful at the end, probably a normal feeling for running one's guts out, but we felt pretty proud of her. Here was the bizarre twist of all of this: Stinging insects in the forms of either yellowjackets or hornets stung the living crap out of runners and spectators alike during the meet. All part of the cross country season, I guess. Proud of Grace for running this.
