West Montrose Covered Bridge

We drove out to the Waterloo Market today to pick up some seed and peanuts for the squirrels and some fresh apples ,cider, veggies, and fresh homemade Mennonite baked goods for us. It was a lovely day for a car ride so we stopped in at West Montrose to see the covered Bridge on our way home. It is the last remaining covered bridge in Ontario, designed by John Bear in 1880 and built a year later by John and his brother Benjamin. It is 198 feet long and crosses the Grand River. The fields and fall colours were beautiful to see today and we got a special surprise in Orangeville as we got to see Batman's car as it went down the main street, their fall fair was on today so not sure if it was an attraction at the fair today. Was cool to see, not something you see every day!
