The Michaelmas Dragon

Time to face the darkness and set a dragon on fire.

Another wonderful celebration at work today. The Glass studio created the fabulous creature who eventually met his fate after eating a few terrified townspeople (audience).

The costumes and actors were fabulous, the musicians great and the singers wonderful. We are all steeled to face the difficult grimness of another driech winter now.

The evening saw the opening of Garvald at PatersonSA exhibition. After two false starts (legionnaires and a flood plane) it was such a relief to finally have a gathering and celebration for the artists and their family and friends.

It's always a joy to be able to facilitate it for people and nice to see the sense of achievement, happiness and pride glowing in them when they can see their work framed on the walls and share it with family and friends. Another great part of my job.

I was too busy to take any snaps, though its too hard to capture the atmosphere, so the Dragon wins out. I do tend to feel sorry for the dragon and wonder if introduced to a wider food groups he may settle a bit.
