Let Autumn begin

I went out on a long walk this morning, across the recently ploughed fields, making walking tricky, up onto the ridge and then down to the river.

Not a Kingfisher or Heron to be seen although a Wren made enough noise to waken the dead.

Along the bank of the river and then the long walk back up towards the windmill, across the old railway track and up onto the ridge before dropping down and back across the fields.

I took this as I was part way up to the ridge and was amazed at how much the colours of the trees have changed.
