A rest day after a busy week. Shopping, trying to figure out the dishwasher's scum-leaving qualities, the freezer's ice-build up qualities and enquiries about a lavacide for our pet mosquitoes. Later a walk around the hilltop. On the way back we found a new narrow lane with interesting views.

The wine grape harvest is down 20% on last year due to late frosts and the summer drought. Luckily the west Tuscan red, Morellino di Scansano, was on special offer at the Co-Op so we might just pull through.
