one of these shoes is not like the other

and no, i did not get these on sale. today at work i lost the tongue to my left shoe. i have to say it's a first for me, and i'm not real happy about it - these shoes are really comfy.

so another item on the to do list for this week - sew tongue back onto shoe.

in other news, got some fun lined up for the coming weeks. friday - head to dc to meet with good friends - ski weekend at wisp (md). train home monday, just in time before the obama-fever is in full effect (yes, i voted for him, but i'd rather not spend my time with the other 2 million visitors to the city for his party). fly to reno that wednesday - easy work week, but regretfully no ski weekend there :( office time for about a week, and then dad and i fly to oahu - honolulu here we come!

at least i'll get to wear flip-flops there...
