Mountain again

I was able to join Ethan's 4th grade class on a field trip to Mount St. Helens. There were four busloads of us. The weather was excellent! The rangers told us that for several days the mountain had been hidden in the clouds.Today it was clearly visible with new snow covering the peaks. It is so amazing to watch the films depicting the 1980 eruption, and the regrowth of the flora and fauna from the barrenness. In the blip a group of adults were looking at the mountain as we arrived at the Johnston Ridge Observatory.
