Time Flies, It's Autumn

It's the first day of autumn. I was up and about fairly early as I'd arranged to take my daughter's track car for service. Once we'd dropped it off I went down the field. Lots of gorgeous dewy spider's web necklaces complete with their creators. I decided to buck the photographic trend and shoot a fly on a lesser stitchwort flower. Webs relegated to the background. It is absolutely magical looking through a macro lens on mornings like this.

Today's poem is Near the Wall of a House by Yehuda Amichai. https://allpoetry.com/Near-The-Wall-Of-A-House

I do like this, particularly the third verse. I've been considering walls of houses crafted to look like wood. I don't approve.
