Emancipation Rock

Walked back home following a different route and came across a piece of history. An inscription read: "From this rock, on June 25th 1843, Irish leader and 'Liberator' Daniel O'Connell addressed a monster meeting estimated at 300,000 strong. They were protesting against The Act of Union which had united Ireland to Britain since 1801".
