Autumn equinox!

Well, today sees the start of the time when the nights and the day are of exactly equal length. It's the beginning of autumn, and a moment on our way towards the winter solstice – the longest night – that marks the beginning of that season. I spotted these autumnal leaves and conkers on my stroll and couldn't resist blipping them to mark the equinox.

My day was made by returning home to find my next door neighbour had taken in my washing when the torrential rain arrived at around 2:30pm. What a star!
