Dust at Dawn

The Portuguese are the cleanest people I know - but sweeping your roof! At dawn! The sky was so dark we both checked the weather for rain - but forecast says 0% chance for the foreseeable future...

Went up to the Land to work some more on the window we were given - a lovely gift, but it's got a few rotten bits, and was a horrid dark brown, plus loads of paint hard stuck on the glass. It's getting there, but it's taking ages... But anyway, ended up instead, making ditches round the few fruit trees, raking grass to mulch them, and watering them with all the water we had. It was hot work and I'm exhausted.
