Kite surfing and greyhounds

The beach at St Annes, where when we were kids there was sand yacht racing.  Today, dog walkers and kite surfers.  A blustery day, but Mike, Ollie and I managed a walk this morning and then LL,B and Ollie and I had another longer walk in the afternoon, while Mike took advantage of my sister's wifi! 

In my youth I used to work with the beach ponies every summer weekend, taking rides on the sand at Lytham.  At the end of the day we, sometimes, were allowed to ride them back to their field on the outskirts of Blackpool - which involved a lot of galloping along these sands!  Gave the ponies, and us, a chance to live a little after walking up and down, bored out of our minds, for hours beforehand!
