Art revisited.

I posted yesterday on how we value things. How a painting, without a pisasso signature could be worthless, while the same scene by the great man would be priceless. Just by having a signature. Today I enjoyed the Chagall museum and particularly liked this painting of Abraham about to sacrifice Isaac. I knew what the subject was before I read the description (below). Why? Because I knew the back story having been raised in a Christian tradition. It only made sense in context. So often we judge people by what they say or do without knowing their back story. Knowing the context never sets aside the act, but at least allows us insight as to 'why?' so, take time to hear the back story of 'the other'. It will be worth it!
