KINGS PARK

......on a windy, wet day is possibly not a great idea.  However when your sister in law (Louise) is in town and wants to see the wildflowers then you go.
Bear in mind, all the pics are taken in hand, I did have a little help from Louise to stabilise a few stems.
Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority - Kings Park

Louise and I wandered around parts of the park dodging the rain and surviving the wind.  Some of the gardens are in regions, i.e. Southwest, Kimberley etc.  Such a difference in plantlife between the Southwest and Kimberley.

The main pic is of the most exquisite flower that looks like velvet as does the leaves - Felted Anthotroche.  Such a surprise to see this flower in amongst the pale green leaves and pale grey stems.
First extra - Ramel's Mallee (we had to hold this one).  Spectacular plant with the flower heads dropping their caps.
Second Extra - no name to this one.  The flowers are about 6mm across (tiny).  So, so pretty.
Third Extra -  no name to this one either.  This one was like balls of cotton wool.
There were tags on plants but if there were multiples you could easily miss a tag.
I didn't want to put the extras into a collage as I felt they deserved more.

I hope you enjoy the flowers.  So different.  So diverse.
