To the coast

There are cycle routes around Girona known as Vies Verdes (Greenways) on old narrow gauge railway lines. The route we had been given suggested head to the coast and get picked up there. We decided to cycle both ways since it wasn’t that hilly. The surface is packed sand, so slightly harder work than tarmac.

A total of just under 90km and while there I managed a quick swim in the sea in one of the Coasta Brava’s protected swimming lanes (Vies Braves). What a tremendous idea.

A gorgeous sunny day then back for lots of lovely food!
