Painting the Church

In Kirkwall, on the Orkneys, there is an impressive eleventh century church called St Magnus. On Thursdays, a huge Norwegian cruise ship invades the island, so we managed to get in here before the crowds. Afterwards, we went on a 5 mile walk (on muddy paths and with a steady light rain) to Mull Head, along the cliffs on Deerness Island.

After dinner at a fine Italian restaurant, we attended a rehearsal of the Orkney Strathspey and Reel Society. Extras are of the rehaeasal and of a Kirkwall street at 10:00 PM tonight.
