NZ tv is DIRE. Let me tell you what is on council telly right now.

TVNZ1: The Ellen DeGeneres Show
TVNZ2: Infomercial
THREE: The Cafe (described as "a fun, fast-paced local lifestyle and entertainment show with cooking and special guests").
PRIME: Raising Children ("a look at the preschool age with basketball legend Dillon Boucher, with special tips on positive discipline").

Given that I have just bought an eff-off, ginormous, curved screen effing MONSTROSITY that now dominates the living room this seemed to me AN ABUSE OF TECHNOLOGY. So today we got Sky TV installed.

And then we spent the rest of the day watching "Hart to Hart", "Fantasy Island", "Hawaii 5-O" and "Murder, She Wrote" on it. Mock us if you want, but it was GREAT fun.

Now sshhh! "The Love Boat" is on.
