Off to the big city today. Took a dozen of our marrows to singing (lugging them on the bus for the last part of the journey as parking in Morningside is impossible). Thank goodness we managed to find takers for them all. I wonder if they will be as keen next week when another dozen turn up. They were supposed to be courgettes - but nature took its course.

Later, after my patchwork class, TM and I went for a wander round a part of  South Edinburgh neither of us was familiar with.  We spotted an interesting looking building, and after many twists and turns found our way to it. It's the former Royal Blind School, a magnificent pile with modern additions. Main picture is the back gate, extra an extension at the rear. I would like to get a picture of the old building but it is well fenced off. Destined to be yet another luxury flats development I expect.
